My blog idea did not start with watching the Movie Julia and Me. It was created out of an article I wrote. The idea for the article is presented within the context of the article, and will be published as a blog on this site next week. Let me point out in the meantime that it is the sort of article that one would have had published in a woman's daily type of magazine years ago for a small stipend. Although I am a baby boomer, I like to stay with the times and make proud my computer scientist son by embracing the computer age and starting this blog.
This blog is essentially about Baking. Not the microwave stuff, not the cake mix stuff, but the real old fashioned baking stuff that warms our tummies. A few years ago, while looking for a particular item for my baking, I inquired of the store manager where I might find it. His reply was that "No one bakes anymore." Well, I say that is not so. There are still many of us who do, and many young people who are hungry to learn before it really is a long lost art. So for now, stayed tuned for next week, Saturday, when I shall post my article, The Art of Baking.

How wonderful! I am so excited to see what amazing recipes that you share or get to experience. I remember our tasting at EPCOT for food and wine, and how the cake was not as good as yours. You must have some amazing stories about growing up, and the people and things you experienced in the kitchen!
